Prayer underpins our work and each month we write a prayer letter for our prayer supporters. If you would like to receive our prayer letter please do get in touch via the contact page and we would be delighted to add you to our list.
Here is part of our recent letter ..
Our last two weekends in the town have been quite a contrast. The 24th June was a quiet evening, but with some fruitful conversations. The team were very encouraged by the staff member in charge of McDonalds who said that what we were doing (at the time giving out lollies) was showing God’s love by our actions and was obviously receptive to this message,
On 1st July the town had a real buzz about the place. It was a lovely warm evening, carnival weekend and of course pay day weekend, subsequently Zinc Popworld was staying open until 4am. We had an observer with us for the evening, who enjoyed herself and was an asset to the team - she wants to now become part of our team which we thank God for! We also had another 4-legged member of the team with us! Bailey, a two year old Golden Retriever was a huge hit. He belonged to one of our team, who thought it would be a good idea to bring him out for the evening and it certainly was! He certainly drew people to our stall and by the end of the evening there were lots of folk milling around chatting with us, which again led to fruitful conversations about our work. We had a conversation with a lady who was wanting to be Baptised and was seeking guidance - we don't know her name but please do pray for her.
The team would like a give thanks for those volunteers who work behind the scenes - for our lovely Bollard team who save our spaces for us in the Emporium car Park and for our lovely lady who makes sure our supplies stay well stocked - the people in Fleet couldn't do without a
Party Ring or Jammie Dodger on a Saturday evening!!
